The King Hussein Cancer Foundation- Governing Body (The Foundation) is an independent, non-governmental, not-for-profit institution founded in 1997 by Royal Decree to combat cancer in Jordan and the Middle East region. The Foundation is governed by a Board of Trustees comprised of a dedicated group of prominent volunteers chaired by HRH Princess Ghida Talal. The Foundation is the legal umbrella organization responsible for: 1) The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF), which is responsible for fundraising, advocacy and development and is led by Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish, Director General. 2) The King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC), which provides comprehensive cancer care and research and is led by Dr. Asem Mansour, CEO/Director General.
