Countering Extremism. Fostering Moderation. Based in Abu Dhabi, Sawab is a collaborative venture between the UAE and the US to counter the online messaging, propaganda and recruitment by the terrorist organizations. The Center supports global attempts to fight the spread of extremist thinking, which poses a clear and present danger to security and stability. We do this by raising awareness about the many methods terrorists use to spread their toxic ideology both online and offline. At Sawab we believe extremism impacts moderate, modern societies and through our work, we seek to promote a secure and prosperous future for people of all backgrounds. We seek to amplify the voices of moderation, which are the true representations of the faith and culture of the region. Our mission is to foster inclusivity, where there are opportunities for all and where there is acceptance of the other.
