The LASCO Chin Foundation is rooted in the corporate social responsibility activities of the Affiliated Companies which comprises LASCO Distributors Limited, LASCO Manufacturing Limited and LASCO Financial Services Limited, and operates within the distribution, food products and financial services industries respectively. LASCO Distributors Limited was founded in September 1988 by Hon. Lascelles Chin and quickly became leading marketing and distribution company in Jamaica. Formerly known as LASCO Foods (Successors) Limited, Lasco Manufacturing Limited was incorporated in 1994 and changed its name to in May 2010 and. LASCO Financial Services Limited started operations in 2004 as a Licensed Cambio Service Provider and Remittance Service Provider. All three companies were listed on the Jamaica Junior Stock Exchange on October 12, 2010.
