In recent years someone has died every two weeks in an accident on an Irish farm. Many more suffer life changing injuries leaving them and their family to cope with often permanent disability. The vast majority of fatal and serious accidents are preventable and avoidable, most at little or no cost. Planning the job, only doing what you know is safe and stopping to think of the risks for a moment may be the difference between life and death. The HSA would like to thank the farmers and families who have shared their stories to help prevent others suffering similar fates.
