Driven by a commitment to equal opportunities, the Education for the Children Foundation has worked with young people and families from the Jocotenango area since 2003 to access quality education, nutritious food, healthcare and social support. Through a highly individualized holistic approach we strive to empower young people with the skills and confidence to be successful in their chosen careers. We support over 600 students from Reception through to University; over 430 at our school, The School of Hope (K-9), and over 200 Further Education students are on EFTC scholarships at high schools and Universities around Guatemala. In line with our holistic approach we will provide anything needed to help our students succeed because we believe that young people from all backgrounds should have the ability to access quality education and opportunities for rewarding employment. This is at the heart of our vision.
