Steinjo is both a director and composer and his sense of humour, often seen in combination with some sort of musical piece or performance, has lead to success and awards both within television, features and commercials. Among his most popular achievements are acclaimed NRK-series «Slå på ring» & «Påpp & Råkk», both his own ideas which he directed, acted and composed. "Slå på Ring" lasted three seasons on NRK (Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation) and was nominated for the international television award Golden Rose of Montreux (Rose d `Or) twice (2002 and 2004), and was selected to attend the "Input" festival 2006 in Taiwan. "Slå på Ring" was also nominated for "Gullruten" 2003 for Best Comedy Program in Norway. In 2010 Steinjo made a comeback with TV drama series "Påpp & Råkk" (Pop & Rock) on NRK. The series got great reviews and a number of the biggest Norwegian celebrities lined up in different roles.
