Pembroke Athleta F.C.

Pembroke Athleta first took part in the BOV Malta 3rd Division in 1994. In 2010, Pembroke was among the bottom teams of the 3rd Division, and subsequently of all of Malta. The following season, they narrowly lost a promotion decider but in the 2011/12 season they were promoted as Champions of the 3rd Division. In 2012/13 they finished a solid 7th place in the 2nd Division. Following this season, the team finished in 2nd place in the 2013/14 season and hence, for the first time ever, won promotion into the BOV 1st Division. In the 2014/15, the boys produced the unthinkable and won the BOV 1st Division at the first time of asking, hence putting Pembroke Athleta into Malta's highest domestic division; the BOV Premier League.
